Every year I like to sit down and plan fun, holiday and seasonal activities. I actually do this every month for local events and bucket list items, but during the holidays it feels extra fun!
I find that putting things on a calendar or creating checklists creates a space to really do activities that you've always wanted to do. You know, those things you always say "someday" to and then never actually get around to doing.
This year, I made a Halloween and Fall movie checklist! This is not something I've done in years past because I'm not usually much of a movie fan and I DEFINITELY do not do horror/gore movies so it's not really been something I've thought of doing, but this year, we are still in the midst of a global pandemic with COVID-19 and much of the local holiday festivities have been canceled.
So, with not much else going on, I thought "why not check out some new movies and make it an event all on its own?". Pop some popcorn or have themed nights (we're going to have a Harry Potter week and make recipes from my Harry Potter cookbook and I am so stoked for it) and get into the holiday spirit!

We've already gotten a start on our list, so far we've watched:
Sleepy Hallow
Hocus Pocus
Clue
Ghostbusters
The Haunted Mansion
and we've started the first couple of episodes of Stranger Things
We've been having so much fun with it, that I thought I would share my lists with all of you in case you'd like to join in!
As I said before, I'm not into horror or gore, so the Halloween movie list is pretty PG-13 and my fall list is for the romantic/sentimental at heart. I won't be offended if these lists aren't to your taste, but if you do join in, I'd love to see you have fun with it too! Or if this has inspired you to create your own list, I would love to see that too.

So, grab your snacks and sweatpants and don't forget to tag me on Instagram!
